Elysses 8

Vacations in the center of Paris

I can safely say that the best part of my work travels has to be the hotels I stay in. I like to thoroughly enjoy the room, get a good night’s sleep, and get out and about to just get to know the neighborhood.

As I mentioned in my Stories on Instagram, for our latest visit to Paris we were guests at the Elysses 8 – easily the most elegant Parisian hotel in the city - center I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

Rather than just being a place to lay our heads at night, the hotel itself was honestly one of the highlights of our trip and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

We were met with the warmest welcome when checking in, and the staff we met during our stay were very friendly and helpful. I asked for some tips about places to visit and they provided some really nice recommendations about the best bars and restaurants in the area.

Our cozy room was on the second floor, with a view over the street. We also checked the suite on the top floor with a view of the Eiffel tower (I’ll probably stay there next time I’m in Paris). With contemporary decor in yellows, reds and greys, the room itself was the perfect blend of comfort and style. Also, I was surprised by the Christian Lacroix Home Products in the shower – they definitely added some luxury to our stay.

We made the most of being so central and went for brunch to Kozy Paris, somewhere I’ve been meaning to go for ages but just never had time to visit until now. If you’re a vegan/vegetarian/lover of healthy food and are ever in Paris, then I’d recommend Kozy. We tried smoothies, pasta, salad with quinoa, and some desserts. It sounds too much for two skinny girls, but we needed plenty of energy for the rest of the day! If you decide to visit Kozy, there are 3 spots in different arrondissements of Paris.

Next day we stayed in bed until very late, and the one thing that got me up was a tasty breakfast. We had some orange juice, coffee, and croissants with nutella for the breakfast and spent a few hours in a bright and airy lobby discussing our plans for the day.

Staying at Elysees 8 for two nights, we found it to be the perfect crossover between a large chain hotel and a bed and breakfast.

The decor was beautiful, the service delightful, and the food both delicious and unique. It was an experience we couldn’t have had anywhere else. Not to mention, our room was absolutely stunning!
