As you saw on my IG stories, I have been lucky enough to find myself in Paris again. Literally, from time to time I can be caught in a daydream of what it would be like to live in this city that captures my soul.
It never gets old to me, I never run out of things to photograph or be inspired by. Never, not even when I stayed in Hotel Henriette, the affordable and cute place with an amazing garden, have I desired to “stay in”.
Already as I write this at Moscow Domodedovo airport the memory of our peaceful suite junior feels more like lying half awake in a garden daydreaming all afternoon.
On arrival were greeted by incredibly friendly receptionists who in all honesty could not have done more to help us, and without them, our trip would not have been what it was – giving incredibly helpful advice whenever we asked! One more little thing that always made me happy – a plate of croissants that I could always find at the reception desk. Regarding the room, it was nice enough, good value and clean, really no complaints.
Mostly, I was amazed at the winter garden at Henriette. Potted plants and some clever thrifting to reimagine furniture pieces go a long way in transforming that patio into a place that’s a comfortable extension of the indoors.
During our stay at Henriette, I used that awe-inspiring garden as both a second living room and an office when the weather was nice. I’ll never forget those oversized plants that create a verdant backdrop while also providing privacy from neighbors.
Lately, I came to the conclusion that I prefer to stay in smaller boutique hotels that have a real DNA rather than in a big chain, it’s way more enjoyable and the staff was lovely and very attentive. So if you’re ever looking for a place to stay in Paris, I strongly recommend Hotel Henriette.
