Have you been to

Babylonstoren Wine Estate

?

I recently had the chance to explore Babylonstoren, and let me tell you, it's an experience I won't forget anytime soon. This place is a unique blend of a farm, hotel, spa, and winery, offering a little bit of everything for everyone.

One of the highlights for me was the garden. It's huge and absolutely gorgeous. As I wandered through, I was taken back to my childhood, reminiscing about my parents' big garden. There's something about being surrounded by nature that's just so calming and grounding.

This year, I decided to do something different and skipped the wine tasting. I know, it's a winery. Just walking through the vineyard, without a glass in hand, gave me a whole new perspective. It was refreshing to simply enjoy the beauty of the vineyard in its natural state.

For those who love delving into the history of wine, the Wine Museum at Babylonstoren is a must-visit. I've had my fair share of exploring wine history in the past, but revisiting those stories and facts was like walking down memory lane – a pleasant refresher on the rich tapestry of wine's journey through time.

Unfortunately, we missed our reservation at Babel, but that led us to the Greenhouse Restaurant. It turned out to be a delightful spot for a quick snack. The fresh salads were just what we needed after a day of exploring.

The Farm Shop at Babylonstoren is a haven for food enthusiasts. I found myself getting lost in the variety of unique and delicious products. It's the kind of place where you go in for one thing and come out with a basket full of goodies.

And let's talk about the bakery's sourdough bread. It was so irresistible that we ended up buying half the shop's stock! There's something about freshly baked bread that's just so comforting and satisfying.

Babylonstoren goes beyond being a mere destination; it encapsulates a whole experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a foodie, or a wine enthusiast, there's something here for you. It's a place that combines the beauty of nature with the richness of history and the joy of good food. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend a visit. Trust me, it's worth it!
